ONAM CELEBRATION AT SCHOOL

Onam is a cultural festival of Kerala. Malayalees from all over the world have been celebrating this festival regardless of caste and religion. In Kerala, Onam, the biggest festival of Malayali, comes in the month of Singha, which marks the arrival of the new year. Onam falls in the months of August-September in the English calendar.

 Today we celebrated Onam in our school. The students came to the school at 9.00 am itself. They all were so excited and happy to celebrate the Onam. The children  and Teachers made a very beautiful POOKKLAM in front of the school. The function started at 10.30 am. HM gave Onam message to the students. And the students and teachers performed various programs. The students also performed a graceful THIRUVATHIRA.

After the programs games sections were started. The main game was TUG OF WAR. Both boys and girls participated in the game. 









Teachers are prepared by the sadhya for students.



After the games a delicious SADHYA was given for the students.

 We helped the teachers to serve the sadhya for the students. This was our first official Onam celebration. We enjoyed a lot with the students. It was a memorable day.It was the last day on teaching practice phase II.
